When Life Gets in the Way of Writing

This blog hasn't become what I envisioned it would. I just never seem to have the time or energy to focus on it.

I had hoped this would be a place where I could vent and share what it is like to be a write at home mom.

I wanted to post my highs and lows and successes. I wanted to share ideas and post writing jobs, prompts and a whole assortment of other writing related goodies.

Life has gotten in the way of that.

My life has gotten so stressful I don't seem to have an extra moment in the day and I'm in such a whirlwind I feel like nothing is getting accomplished. My to-do lists are ten miles long everyday and that's barely anything involving my writing- most of it involves the kids, the house, life in general- grocery shopping, paying bills, doctor appointments, cooking dinner, chauffeuring the kids form here to there, play dates, etc...

When do I write? Whenever I get a few moments of uninterrupted time to get my thoughts together- which lately is not very much.

My four year old is constantly bugging me- I know he just wants attention but the more I give him the more he wants and he bounces off the walls constantly. It's exhausting. He's exhausting.

But I struggle on trying to fit in a little writing wherever I can. Hopefully life will cooperate more soon because I have a million projects (like this blog) on the back burner waiting patiently for a little attention.
